So, the following document comes from that same book.
The CIA Wiretap document is dated the day before Marilyn was found dead of a staged overdose. We know it was staged (though not reported at the time), because the toxins that killed her were completely different to the pills that surrounded her body.
Along with other things, the document references Marilyn talking about the President's visit to a secret air base "for the purpose of inspecting things from outer space". The document goes on to talk about "a crashed spacecraft and dead bodies", and "a secret effort by the US & UK Governments to identify the origins of a crashed spacecraft and dead bodies".
Marilyn had threatened to hold a press conference and would tell all.
The document was dated 3rd August 1962. Marilyn died on the 4th August.
'Unacknowledged' is a recommended read for the curious. There is significant documentary evidence to back up all of the underlying events.
